Hand your phone over the counter and it disappears into the workshop. Here is what actually happens on the bench between drop-off and collection.
First: a proper inspection
Before any tools come out we test the phone as it arrived: cameras, speakers, charging, Face ID or fingerprint, and the state of the frame. Damage a screen hides is much easier to talk about before the repair than after it.
Heat, patience and the right tools
The old screen comes off with controlled heat and a great deal of patience. Rushing this stage is how home repairs end up with a bent frame or a torn cable, so we do not rush it.
The part makes the repair
We fit OEM, original or service pack screens depending on the device and what you choose. The difference shows in colour, brightness and touch response, and it is why two screen repairs at two shops are not always the same repair.
Tested again before you collect
The same checks run again after the new screen goes on. Only when everything passes does the phone go back in the tray for collection, with the repair covered by our warranty on parts and labour.
